PlexPurge Cl0 995 is a specially tailored purging compound that is suitable to remove degraded resins that have adhered to the surface of the extruder’s barrel and screw. It is especially suitable for use in removing aged polymeric resins in extruders processing medium voltage cables. For such applications, it is suggested to first purge the aged resins from the extruder using 5 to 10 kilos of PlexPurge CL0 955 and a second run using barefoot virgin MI2 LDPE.
